Success mentoring is a unique and important part of the service offered by CHAMP Workouts to customers. At least 25% of the time a customer spends with a CHAMP employee is devoted to mentoring in the underlying intangible concepts of individual high performance that are universal in application (the remainder of the time is devoted to sport specific technical training). CHAMP employees utilize the outline below to guide their role as mentor and enhance it with examples from their personal experience.

  1. WORK HARD:
Worthwhile results come from hard work. Successful people in any endeavor work hard. Out work your competition.
  2. ATTENTION TO DETAIL :
Separates the best from the rest. Proper execution is the prerequisite to mastery. Tiny details lead to big advantages.
  3. NO EXCUSES :
Be accountable for your actions and behavior. Have a no excuse, no whining, and no complaining policy (given or accepted) for yourself and those around you.
  4. TEAM MENTALITY :
Make the welfare of the group your top priority. Sacrifice personal interest for the benefit of the team.
  5. PREPARATION :
Remain alert to and aware of your surroundings. Be prepared. Compete at least as much between the ears as between the lines.
  6. LEADERSHIP :
Be true to yourself and loyal to those around you. Show respect and consideration for others. Demonstrate and communicate high standards and well defined boundaries. Practice and generate enthusiasm.
  7. BEST EFFORT:
Always give the task at hand your best shot. By regularly doing your best you give yourself the opportunity to improve.
  8. PERSISTENCE :
Avoid impatience and resist the temptation to give up. Persist and stay the course. Success is often a bumpy road. Treat setbacks as temporary circumstances that will be overcome.
  9. OPTIMISM :
Seek out and take on the tasks that must be done to get the results you desire. Encourage the people around you. Practice put-ups, not put-downs, to yourself and to others..
  10. SET & REVIEW GOALS :
Write down the things you want to accomplish. Take time each and every day to read them and imagine what it will be like when they are achieved..
  11. SCHOOL & HOMEWORK :
Understand the importance of education. Do your best in school. Maintain your eligibility. Do your homework so that you stay ahead of your assignments. Get help from teachers, tutors, or successful classmates with the subjects that you find difficult.
  12. DIET & REST :
Avoid fast food, soda pop drinks, and high sugar snacks, beverages, or foods. Eat a proper and balanced diet. Get at least eight hours of sleep each night. When you get your rest you protect your health and well being.
  13. COMMITMENT:
Pursue your goals fully and without reservation. Take on the task at hand with all you have to offer. Remember that half-doing will be your undoing.
  14. CONFIDENCE:
Believe in you. Do not compare yourself with others but instead with your own best self. By doing so there is no fear or doubt when you compete with others but only the challenge of surpassing your existing best performance level.
  15. CHARACTER:
Keep your word. Remember that honesty is the best policy. Be sincere and authentic rather than fake or phony. Practice generosity and unselfishness. Be yourself.
